See the world within the mist
evening trees of silhouette
painted like a perfect kiss
air as sweet as lover's breath

'tween those silent titan trees
swirled the flakes of living snow
through the pink and purple haze
laughing madly as they go

speeding through their shrouded womb
up and down and inbetween or
lying listless 'pon the stone
fountain of eternal dream

But woe , there comes a greenish fog
near to fairy wood it creeps
roaming like a feral dog
and woe to all that meet the teeth

and as it rose the fairies turned with
eyes so wide they looked macabre
hearts of tiny humming birds
beneath the thunderheaded dog

the fearsome thing began to swell
its terror swirled the fairies hair
just a moment 'fore it fell
and scattered wee folk everywhere

pulling down to drowning mist
where magic is of no avail
the tunnel throat of whirling fog
staring past the lips of hell

the horror grinned at what it'd done
and ambled onward through the dark
leaving wee folk lying numb
with tiny twitching fairy hearts...
****

ahhh I so loved this. Refreshing to say the least. Your flow and the wording brought this to life in a magical way.

Cool, in a faintly creepy kind of way. I'm interested to see the next part.
