[bodytext] => Fantasy By Jessica Cohen Weary lids fall to block out the light of the earth My possessed mind slips into my subconscious A World of dreams appear Dragons, wizards and stars Trials and journeys lay ahead of me I shall be tested as I venture into a land that lay beyond the natural world No calm oceans await me in my sleep My trouble mind gives way to nightmares Black nights along the dark countryside Lead to creatures that rise from the shadow which I must defeat No doubt metaphors, that represent The troubles of the day As dinosaurs chase me through jungles I must run light -footed to stray away from their bite I awake after falling off a cliff Fatigued and discontented Hours of luminosity are upon me now What adversity should I expect? What will dive into the deepest caverns of my mind, Only to come out when the moon shines bright [comments] => 2 [counter] => 176 [topic] => 13 [informant] => detourchick [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )
