Everywhere you look, you see it.
We have grown complaciant in the fact that we know it's all around us.
It makes no qualms about who it infects.
The weak, the strong.
The rich and the poor.
From the factory worker to the president.
We all hold the repressed tendency for evil, for greed.
We all want to fight for our freedoms, but fighting a war with nothing to gain is pointless.
As the people who fight die, we begin to feel numb to the loss.
Corruption is also spread through out the legal system.
If someone smuggles drugs into this country, or if someone destroys the innocence of a child, who do you think gets the longer sentence?
"Sorry little Sue, but we can't have crack on the streets. You understand, right? Come on, take one for the team."
Law enforcement? You bet!
Some are nice people.
But some go home to their nice homes and wonderful family, and then don a white sheet, burn crosses and assault African-Americans.
We see these stories on the news and wonder what causes it.
Could it be the fact that mankind is born with a tendency for evil things?
No.
It's because the road to evil is far less rocky and far more smooth.

the mass public is like a lumbering
beast slow to learn and easily lulled
to sleep. I know all to well how corrupt
it has all become but what am I in the
face of a flood. The powers that be
have armies to maintain their corruption
and I have nothing but an idea to contain
it. Ideas become revolutions every once
in a great while but like I said the mass
public is slow to learn and easily lulled
back to sleep. Take care , and more
power to you. Hopefully one day the idea
will open enough eyes. Truly , Doug
