Choose to Bleed

Contributed by MisfitMe on Saturday, 25th November 2006 @ 11:21:09 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

How do I give you to understand~

that which I know, but can't better explain

How do I give you to make your own~

wisdom which through experience is gained...

And if this is simply not possible~

then how am I to give that which you need

To realize what it is you forsake~

everytime you instead choose to bleed...

How does your strength give itself over~

to that which is so unworthy of it

How does your mind accept being chained~

to that which its freedom must be forfeit...

And if in this you've simply no choice~

then how can the choice still be allowed yours

To continue what it is you would do~

if not denied is the right to close your own door...

A powerful and sad write. I can sense the sadness, the lonelieness in this poem. We've all been there, so lost and confused in life. And we all choose our way to deal, and to cut yourself, well, I don't completely get it.
This is a truly sad write, but a very powerful one at that.

I'll just say this Kerry....because this piece is so deep...it is sad that one must cause themselves pain, to releave pain. Reminds me of some lines from the tune Hurt....Trent Reznor's tune (Johnny Cash also recorded it before he passed)

"I hurt myself today
To see if I still feel
I focus on the pain
The only thing that's real"

Makes me cry.
Peace and hugs,
Laura
