wear their hearts on their sleeves

Or just find the world too harsh to bare...

Any class clowns~

or village idiots crowned

Having ever wondered what might be out there...

All you single mothers~

& darker skinned brothers

Who've never been allowed to be more...

Any actors in plays~

or closet bound gays

That would see for themselves distant shores...

All in the streets whoring~

loadies junk scoring

Ever so ready to stop getting screwed...

Any out on parole~

strangers or lost souls

I welcome to sign on as my crew...

I'm Captain Quill~

with a ship to be filled

She's my own true love, the Iva De Lady...

Never my tongue stilled~

or broken my will

And, invite aboard any not shady...

Do so many away turn~

my offer spurn

That I should now see more backs than faces...

I would like to learn~

why this bridge you'd burn

Why so many choose to fold, holding Aces...

Are your own lives so great~

or you doomed by fate

That on this adventure you'd simply pass...

Do on better you wait~

for, I pay going rates

Though, I've no wish to futher harass...

Completely stumped~

down from my barrel I jumped

And, sat down to watch the street lanterns be lit...

Had my head, I bumped~

my wits from dumped

More than ever missing my ol' crew of misfits...

Upon review it feels you have channeled a past life that was ever in search of booty. Though somethings never change you handled well expressing the interface of Capt. rounding crew for there are voyages yet to be had spoils yet to be plundered...

Well Done
AJ
