Who knows what time we have got,
For life its self is a ticking clock,
Seconds turn to minutes,
And minutes turn to hours,
The hours turn to days and weeks,
That time is soon devoured,

The weeks turn into months ,
and the months turn into years,
The years turn into decades,
As the sands of time declare,

We then find we have reached,
Our three score years and ten,
Old age it has crept up on us,
Where did those years go then?

So cherish every second,
As the clock it ticks away,
For one day that clock will stop,
And it will be then your last day,

So use up every second ,
To the best of your potential,
And live life to the full,
For that is so essential,

So with limited time we survive,
For how long we cannot decree,
But never waste a second,
For we know not what time there be

Dearest Sue~ such wise words from a very wise woman.
I find that there is not enough time in the day to do what I need to do. The hands of the clock stand still for nobody my friend. I'd rather go from this world knowing I enjoyed life to the max~
Live it up girl~ I thoroughly enjoyed your write dearest Sue. Thanks so much for sharing it with us.
love, hugs n prayers,
Sue M

Wise words indeed.
Also, very poignant for me.It made me think of my cousin, she was only 19 when she died. She always had a smile for everyone and did seem to live her life as best she could, despite the suffering she was going through.
