The darkness surrounds us all.
But let shine one single light,
A light that burns within each person left on this earth,
A light which grows as turmoil is thrown down upon their shoulders,
A light which gathers all of their soul and burns brighter then any light...
Leading then Home...

Some may follow this light, some may hide it.
It is a light that is hard to ignite,
But once it is lit and its flames grow tall,
Nothing on this earth can extinguish it.
It will forever be within us... hope...
Leading us Home...

Forever shall this light burn,
Within the souls of those who were touched by this day.
Forever shall we conquer the darkness,
Never again to be swallowed by the pain.
For I shall let my light forever burn, a model for others to follow...
Leading me Home...

this reminds me of the band underoath a lot, they are a christian band that have a song named the writing on the walls. this reminds me of some of the songs ive heard in church as well. i really liked this poem. the last stanza stands out as the best for me. keep writing =]
