there’s porkies, blarney, fibs and whoppers,
tall tales and great gob stoppers
crap and **** and bull and spin,
such dark deception, venial sin

we cannot trust the naked eye,
as appearances often lie
nor the mouth that’s just pretending,
weasel words that are dissembling
garbled, gilded, glossy guile
behind the most factitious smile,
the charlatan’s doublespeak
clouds the minds of strong and weak

of all the songs that do attest,
the country verses are the best
I'm sick of your lyin eyes and false teeth
(the truth above what lies beneath)
hurtful, helpful noble dealings,
"pretendies" meant to save our feelings
black ones, white ones small as flies…
stretch belief but still are

A very fine subject.
I was taking a fiction writing course, don't remember who it was said, "So they are teaching to lie?"
Luv your many styles and the whole creating you do.
huggs, smiles,
emy

LOL --- I love the accompanying picture... hehe. Great flow to it, and it gave me a giggle, despite the not-so-funny topic!
