[hometext] => This is a continuation of my traveler and red knight poem series, all in the war section
[bodytext] => So started the traveler, On a long and heavy march, Dragging the red steal, Serrated and harsh, Across the bloody land, It left a deepened scar, Alongside every path, From here to very far, The people traveled the roads, Fearing the ditch he left, It burned with searing pain, The earth encroached on itself, As the traveler kept marching, He lost his way around, Looking at the trees, He figured he was bound, “Northward!” he said, Turning to his left, And as he began to walk, He tripped upon a cleft, Shaking his head, Trying to get up, He found his legs trapped, His body in a cup, The earth around his waist, Burning red with desire, Lifted him up, Lifted him higher, It opened up wide, And dropped him right in, And none ever saw that traveler again.
