That made me feel so terribly bad
I shuddered as thoughts captured me
Blindly thinking where should I be

A glimpse of joy in my sight
Used to last me all the night
Now the need to bask in light
A glimpse of joy no longer right

The empty feeling in my heart
Will come as the day does start
Memory of hope just a hint
Like a spark from stone of flint

Gone the rock for my fire
I search the sky ever so higher
Only to see blue scattered with white
In my search to find true light

The rains then came to wash the smell
Sodden wet I began to dwell
Thank you God from you I see
I am the person I need to be.
