I approach yet another,
Crossroads in my Life.

I approach it slowly,
Dragging my Feet,
About to admit Defeat.

Slowly,
I fall to my Knees,
And I pray to God.
Where do I go now?

I need a Sign,
Something from on High.
I need Direction,
Something to show me where to Go.

I've made my Choices before,
I've fought my Battles,
I've suffered the Consequences,
And yet here I Am,
At another Crossroads.

Slowly,
I raise my Head up,
Tears rolling down my Cheeks,
Redemption is what I Seek,
But it eludes me for Now.
I will go On,
Some How.

I look to the Sky above,
And I wipe my eyes,
I dry my face off and Smile.

Slowly,
I stand back Up,
I dust off my Clothes,
With new-found Strength,
I make my Choice,
And follow the Road,
Wherever it Goes.

Will it lead to Redemption?
I will never know,
I will not know,
Until I finally find it. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 199 [topic] => 61 [informant] => EddieDean [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => selfstruggles )

Eddie,
it seems to me you are on the right path.
I loved the thoughtfulness in this write.
Something I relate to well this year, there have been many a crossroad again, alot of hard decissions, bridges washed out lol.

I loved the manner in which you have wrote this. A true inspiration to read this morning.
With your permission I would like to email
this to my mother who is going through a difficult time right now as well.

~Michelle~

Great write. I need to follow the advice and just choose the road, won't know if its the right one until you take it.
