Array ( [sid] => 128028 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Waiting [time] => 2006-11-09 21:42:08 [hometext] => This poem deals with persistance in hard times and illustrates love in its cruelist game: waiting. [bodytext] => When is the gift the greatest?
When is she the most beautiful?
What brings the most out of me in the end, yet almost kills me during the rising?
The waiting for her.
I have been told that the thought is the greater of the two, waiting and fufilling, but no.
There is no greater gift than her love, and it shall channel through my like a wild current.
The river of her will find its way through me, and all shall not be peaceful, but always moving to greater and more prospering bodys of water, just like every river.
So is the road of our lives: forever loving, never knowing, and always using our lack of insight as a pillow to fall back upon when we fail.
But promise me, my love, that if I wait my time for you, that you will wait your time for me. For if I find the end of the road, I will find you on twisted ankles and fallen spirits, and carry you home.

Ah, a very well-written poem, raw in its emotion, but beautiful in its execution. It's obvious what you are feeling, because of how well you portray such feelings of that pain of waiting.
