[title] => Death of A Hero
[time] => 2006-11-09 08:44:19
[hometext] => This tells a story of a British officer mortally wounded in the war of 1812 in the American frontier. His lover comes to mourn his death and finds him alive, and this is what followed:
[bodytext] => The Death of a Hero (Warrior: to lover) Show me no reprieve, Strike down the final blow, No reason to deceive, For I already know. I have lived by the blade, And so shall be my death, Hear final serenade, In fading labored breath: WARRIOR'S FAREWELL "Such flawed and unmatched beauty, That human eyes could see, Captor of my soul, Could such perfection be? A beacon in the darkness, The symbol of my bliss, Captor of my soul, Share with me one last kiss. Oh undying guiding light, Forever shining bright, Captor of my soul, Bring sweet relief tonight. (Narrator) Now uttering goodbyes, So clearly to postpone, Tears well up in her eyes, For fear of the unknown. All silent for a while, Excepting for the sound, Of coughing blood and bile, In pools upon the ground. Now gaining her composure, (If such a thing exists), Somehow she found closure- The blade clenched in her fists. The Woman fair and blessed, Did lay the weapon down, Piercing through his chest, And deep into the ground. But evil was about, She opened up her vein, No purpose now without, The warrior she'd slain. The icy tears of blood, For love that she denied, Flowed forth just like a flood, Across the dark roadside. Lifeless upon terrain, They lay in cold embrace, Too young, they died vain, As often is the case.
