String theory is as irresistible as it is incomprehensible to this inelegant poet… [bodytext] =>

The Universe sings in strings,
and waxes lyrical in the metaphysical !!!!!

particles, atoms quarks and things,
all tied together with vibrating strings.
delicate, tiny, humming twine
weaving threads of space and time;
from sow’s ear to silken purse
- the pattern of the Universe
bunching proton with electron,
from there all is built upon
every myriad form and shape, determined
by a vibrational landscape.

(((( 7 extra ))))

dimensions to make all things (whew!)
a signature tune on energy’s wings.

the General Theory of Relativity
never said it all to me,
was always spun into distress
by that Super Quantum mess
but here, boy, its makes you think;

this could be physic’s missing link!

the universal answer to all things,
the balance of cello and violins
(never mind who plucks the strings)

all those scientists we have to thank,
for telling us we’re thick as plancks
for pointing out those dimensional planes
that turned us all into p-branes
a coherent pattern, in EVERYTHING

but, just how long is a piece of string? [comments] => 7 [counter] => 259 [topic] => 19 [informant] => spike [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 44 [ratings] => 10 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => InspirationalPoems )

Philosophy, science, AND verse ... whew !!! As with all I have read from you Spike, here is another spotlight on your versatility. I don't think I could have brought together all three and tied them up so neatly regardless of what string I used or how long it was.

Ok, never mind who... but what if someone did pluck the strings?

From today's news:
"A collosal swirling storm with a well-developed eye is churning at Saturn's south pole, the first time a truly hurricane-like storm has been detected on a planet other than Earth. NASA images showed the storm on the giant, ringed planet was about 8000km wide, measuring roughly two thirds the diameter of Earth, with winds howling clockwise at 550km/h."

Am I the only one that wonders what it was that lead to something that linked to something else that created something that eventually become that? Dang... I hope it was something that I did, LOL!

Connectedness. In all things. Always. I, personally, am inclined to the consideration of such things. I choose to believe we are connected to all things and all people in some magical, even cosmic, way. It serves, I think, to remind one remain mindful of those, often delicate, strings.

Excellent, thought evoking as always, work!

~Snem
