those years I will never forget.
She took care of me,my sister and brother,
doing the best she could without regret.

When my father left she carried the weight,
of making sure we lived to grow up.
Teaching us to love and not hate,
all people drank from life's same cup.

With her hands she sewed our clothes,
whenever they had a sudden tear.
Mended cuts,scrapes and broken toes,
always showing the utmost of care.

When I was a teen I rebelled,
with all that typical attitude.
But her love she always upheld,
never being harsh to me or even rude.

In my college years I was gone,
for many months at a time.
But her love's endurance went on,
being away from her to my heart was a crime.

But now back home I live near her,
never more than a few minutes away.
I wanted to make sure I lived closer,
in case she needed me someday.

And that time has come she is older,
and now many ailments she has.
But my mom's heart has never been bolder,
for she believes all that too shall pass.

Now I am always there for mom,
my sister and brother are as well.
Just like the times she kept us all calm,
whenever one of us got hurt when we fell.

So I will be there to hold her hand,
until her very last moment of life.
As a family always united we'd stand,
through happiness as well as strife.

We will never be truly apart,
for God has made sure there's a way.
For after the last beat of our hearts,
we'll all rejoice in heaven someday. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 221 [topic] => 23 [informant] => JennyF [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => FamilyPoems )

That Mother's bond helps us through life.....and inspires talented people to pen such writes as this.

Beautiful and well written technically as well as emotionally

Very well done
