When Broken Hearts Fail To Mend

Contributed by MyNameIsJonas on Thursday, 2nd November 2006 @ 11:19:42 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

When broken hearts fail to mend
You are left alone, by yourself, to tend
To the hole in your chest, pierced at the spot
The weapon removed and bleeding a lot.

Your heart's still beating but with every pump
Your feelings for her spew out in a slump
And after each day the hole gets larger
But your love for her is plugged to a charger

That renews your hope with each reminisce
Of the golden times; a state of bliss
But the wait is long and your heart is weak
And soon the pain would reach its peak.

And you'll know the wait will feel like torture
But you can do it because it's for her.
