Lost life

Topic: dedicatedpoems

As she stood tears piled on the floor.
Her hands shook as she slowly locked the door.
The knife in her hand gleamed in torment.
She silently knelt with her head bent.
She prayed forgivness through her tears
Prayed that God would take away her fears.
What drove her to such a tragic end?
She was the girl that never fit in.
Everyone said "stay away, shes no good."
Even in the church she was misunderstood.
No one knew her but they assumed they knew.
They listened to rumors and believed they were true.
Cast away from the world no family, no friends
Forever condemned for all of her sins.
She just wanted to be loved, with all her heart
And tried so hard to make that fresh start.
With the knife to her chest, kneeling alone.
If only someone had reached out and known!
Beauty inside and out was her true sight.
If only the world looked at her in such light.
This hurting child that needed a friend
No one took notice and she came to this end.
She had tried so hard to be strong
But could only endure it for so long
Grace took her life that tragic day.
Why did it have to end that way?!
If only, oh if only someone had cared
But no one..not one.. had ever even dared.

Wow, a very sad and deep write. Its a sad truth that we shun those that we don't understand, we ostracsize them without cause. But a few of us, so very few, try to reach out and touch the lives of others. You wanted to know this girl, but only after she was gone. For that I am sorry.

Good work, keep it up.

Heart wrenchingly sad.
It really is sad when church members and people in general judge any one unfaringly.
I do know what this feels like but I had a medical problem that made me so mixed up and scrambled when it came to men in my life. One my medical problem that went un diognosed for over 25 years was fixed my life did a 180 degree turn around.
The last church I attended, some of the people warned the pastor about me but what they don't know is the pastor of the church told me about it. When all was said and done the pastor of the church was the one that wanted to sleep with me but guess what even in my mixed up condition I was the one that said no. I had more respect for the church than he did.
This is the big reason I don't do religion any more. I'm tottaly into God but no more religion or self righteous hypacrites for me.
I know that all religion isn't the same but when you see church members with dirty hearts refusing to help others and degrading others well, need I say more?
Gossip and judgings others has no place in my heart!
Very good writing.
Hang tuff friend.
luv, huggs, prayers,
emy
Oh ah, just in case my comments isn't meant to be a reflection to any one on this site nor their religion. It's just my experences and oppionions.

very emotional story.. powerful emotions.. i feel 4 this girl.. shouldnt judge the book by its cover.. i mean its so easy to abuse even when they don't even knw her... people just spread rumours coz they got no topic to talk about and people just believe them coz its a rumour.. i dnt blame u.. but we have to knw a person before we can judge them.. its very offesive.. i have experienced the same until someone who was there 4 me and knwn me personally and like me the way i am which im very happy about.. people just lyk to take advantage of others.. you have written a beautiful poem.. this sends a message to people who do listen 2 other people's rumours and they should understand that u have to knw a person properly and then judge them.. keep posting good job.. well done 5 stars *****
