Israel, Islam words
like soothing balm
ideas with mass
sharpen and burn on the blood
of the young.
Those at their physical best
yet mental age in degrees
measures the mortal soldier.

As dying we are from
first covered in mothers wax.
Each of us a part
of a DNA ladder
built for the stars.

Yet growth is boxed
in the moment
by the dollar hard
ridden in shells
by minorities off shore,
with old politico families;
those fighting colorful puppets
squeezing stone
to drill and generate oil,
when in 2006
Exxon reports a gross profit of
39 Billion.

We pay with our futures and at the pump
to eek and suffer
never to know
the joy
our destiny obscured
can we ever travel the galaxy
or are we extinguished, expired, times up?

This is why they may kill the poets
for I say take up arms and brains
make the changes grow,
research, name and embargo
that which places itself over Life and health.
To the seventh generation blessed be;
start with liars, process methods
and or additives: food dyes,
irradiated corn products?
For true profit is found in each other
planned for life and
well prepared for tomorrow.

That's seriously like the best title ever. XD

I like this poem, it 's really descriptive !

Sometimes long poems can be drawn-out and dull, but you did great in keeping my attention!

Good job!! ^^

Very powerful piece of writing. This really says it all. I wish and hope for peace on this Earth, but afraid, I am.
Peace, Laura

Quite the in-your-face rawness in this one! I enjoyed the frankness here, and can appreciate how good it can feel to get something like this off your chest, and onto the page : )
Loving the title!
