A wet skirt clings to smooth wet legs

The air is damp with moisture
The night attempts in vain to break through

Puddles to skip over in graceful strides
The conversation takes a swift turn
I come along for the ride

Pleasant are the cool splashes
Relief from the heat rashes
Icicles dangle
Entwined in a love triangle
It starts
The touching is more then acceptable

Twirling silver rod
Resistant fabric covers the beauty
Hair arranged in a comfortable stance
Legs hold firm
During a knee-buckling dance
In a love-induced trance
Red lights divert the stagnant glance
I am hers truly
She is my sinful last chance

Thoughts of leaving
For a good reason
Are not enough
Stay here
In sight
Within reach
Available with ease
Throwing caution to the breeze
Further lifting up the skirt
To reveal what I was never meant to see
Warm, inside a place I was never meant to be

Apathetic to surroundings
Just the two of us talk amongst ourselves
The truth is
I would walk in continuous circles
To prolong
A hellish miracle
Of nothing too simple
Making heavenly love to the beautiful devil

Whoa! Cool poem jyssvw22!
The images of ice and heat are very vivid in my mind...
This is a good poem for a Halloween love affair type thing...
Um... yeah...
Oh well, never mind me, I babble on like this a lot...
Anyway, keep up the good work!

this is, Keats meets Russ Myers.. in the fold - lol
as in all your works:
where the fatality of love and lust is manifest through art..
persuasive enough for those who would, just as soon die, than be denied such things as love and companionship-

deep, prolific.. as always~

Your fan..

What a great day! :):)

Odd that I missed this, it must've been during one of my m.i.a's.
Fighting what is flaunted in front of you takes a strong will, yet you speak in destructive tones here too. Like you will not allow yourself happiness, success, almost as if you're not deserving.
