Don’t tell me it’s all too hard
- I’ve been there too
and I’m smiling
- you’re looking up
but the world isn’t keeping you down
- you’ve just grown in that seat
those legs of yours still work
- you don’t like your plot
well, hell, get up you fool
- let’s walk and talk
find those things to make you smile
- I’ll come along for the ride
but don’t rely on me
- for I rely on no-one
and will give you help
- for your sake
because it means little to me
- but that the world owns one less
another free bird on the wing
- no stopping this freedom
just try to share the word
- so make the sky full
and they might smile back
- do you feel awake now?
Well, don’t tell me it’s all too hard
- I’ve been there too
and I’m smiling…
