Array ( [sid] => 12750 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Hope [time] => 2003-02-16 08:00:00 [hometext] => I find that my poetry
Appeals very little to my poet friends
And so I have made my decision
My heart, my poetry here ends

To those who have been faithful
Who have inspired me by word
I want you to know
Your voices will always be heard

We are brothers and sisters
Far beyond a mere earthly scope
It's my wish for you
You always find hope [bodytext] => Hope

I patrol a common border
Where disappointment and dreams collide
You may never know I'm here
Though never do I hide

I am in dreams to be fulfilled
The glow of warm memories
A vision of the future
The place where sadness flees

I inspire wounded hearts
Uplift tired and weary souls
Free those bound by despair
My touch everyone knows

The promise of better tomorrows
The cessation of heartache and pain
If you know me friends
Life is never in vain

I would like to thank you maam
Your words touch my heart
And I am grateful indeed
Offered in kindness they impart

A certain comfort in knowing
The dream is not visible only to me
But kind and gentle hearts like yours
The dream also can see

Your kindnesses will be remembered
In both memory and written word
And your warmth will pave the way
For other hearts to be heard

Thank you Valerie--

If only words could describe
What your thoughts have meant to me
How a gracious, giving heart
Has allowed others to

Remember the words you write
The wisdoms you impart
Are not only written on paper
But upon anothers heart

And upon my own
In a special place indeed
These words are etched
These words decreed

When I look for a friend
I look for you
When you need a friend
Look for me too

i hope that you do not stop poetry because of what others say to you about your poems. honestly i really like this and would like to read more. poetry is not about acceptance but a way to say the things you can't. dont stop your talent because others dont comprehend or connect with it as long as you connect you will be fine

Your note is so very kind maam, I thank you and I did not mean to make it sound as if I was hurt or miffed because no one reads my work--tho I see it seems that way--Maybe just in a slump-Anyway- I thank you for caring

Russ

Oh! nooo ..you should continue to write.. you have such beautiful spirit.. dear friend, I promise that I would like to read your poems without missing any one.. but you must understand the nature of many of our poets..you must write not only for others but for your self..to give an expression to the cries of your heart..I wish to read your next poem..venkat
