Tells her it’s okay,
Renewed happiness isn’t too far away.

The illusion of “forever” proven to be just a myth.

He tells her she’ll find love again,
But she wonders if he loved her at all,
With all of the nights he was gone,
How far within himself he had withdrawn.

Or perhaps it was how far away he became,
The distance growing in between them.
All she wanted was a spouse,
Instead she got an empty house.

A second try is far from her mind.
The queen of sorrow wears proudly her pitiful crown,
As a man from across the room falls in love
With the brown-haired beauty
Drinking love’s antidote down. [comments] => 0 [counter] => 189 [topic] => 31 [informant] => Chamaron [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 3 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => StoryPoetry )

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
