What mask shall I wear today?
Which actor am I?
upon life's stage today.
Masks worn everyday,
covering up the realness deep inside
hidden, protected.
Each day, the next installment,
another penny dreadful,
unfolds upon life's stage.
Masks of happiness,
masks of contentment,
hide the pain, suffering, and misery
that exists inside,
hides them so well,
no one sees me cry.
Masks to make me
whatever it is I must be today.
Sometimes, I wonder
Does everyone else wear these masks?
Or am I the only one?

NO! Rest assured, you are not the only one who wears masks. Good read.
