As the maggots feast upon the carcass
They are unaware of me and show no fear
Not conscious of my presence
Or the fact that I’m even here

They wallow in their own filth
And sleep in their own slime
And when I lay my hand upon them
They think of me as divine

In their teeny tiny brains
That can’t comprehend my form
My machines and society
From which the carcass is born

As far advanced on the evolutionary track that I like to think I am
I can kill as many maggots as I wish but I am still just a man

Maggots start the track
Without them I cannot be
From primal beginnings
The maggots created me

They feast upon my carcass
It’s their heaven in which they dwell
But inside my body
It’s a living, raging hell

Maggots create life thru death
I create my commandments and sin
We are Gods among maggots
Like Christ is god among men
