Not on a grimy train
Beautiful music takes me somewhere else
A perfect image in my mind
Such symmetry
Two shapes perfectly aligned
Cocooned in delight
I feel safe with such thoughts in my mind.
Would make no sense if I was to explain
That's why it's my secret.
Drifting in and out of peace
If only for a moment.
What beauty there is
In such moments as these. [comments] => 10 [counter] => 311 [topic] => 48 [informant] => tracinda [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 13 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

Very zen, very ipod, and very personal in the symmetry of body and mind, word and feeling. A soft rhyme but effective. If we are lucky we have these moments. thanks for reminding me.

Very good. That would be the moment of feeling "infinite" as described in The Perks of being a Wallflower. We try for these moments everyday and when you least expect it to happen it does.

  • Such a pretty, pretty piece. Peaceful and soothing, in a way.

My favourite line would have to be, "Cocooned in delignt",
for no reason I can specifically described.
    Something about it.

    Thankies for sharing.

    Kat.

My favorite line is also 'Cocooned in delight' but I think as a whole the piece perfectly encapsulates the feeling of being alone on a train and the way that time almost seems to lose all meaning at times during such journeys before you are thrown headlong into reality when you reach your destination.
