Array ( [sid] => 12697 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Sometimes a Distance (Friendship) [time] => 2003-02-15 22:00:00 [hometext] => This was written about a friend I have, just he is living a facade of lives, a and is so unhappy, that some of us (his friends) not sure if he will end his life, or do some other stupid thing... just not sure… he refuses to live life now, and accept what he has and can have allot more, already he has so much in family and love, ... MORE ... >>> [bodytext] => but he keeps looking for what isn't his, a challenge to take or do wrong in little ways or something on that order... So sad really...
Tony G. you have a lot to get thru. I can only hope you do well. I‘ll do my best to keep my heart and mind open, as well as keep on praying you get that cocky attitude of life and accept what is real now. I sometimes have to be distant when you do this to your friends, yourself, and your family. I just pray more and hope for the best for you. You are 56yrs. old and you should have learned more of life then to take and be a wuss. I say as a good friend, grow up, and stop living two lives in hiding.

When are the best times to be a good friend?
I mean, when one wants to be more understanding…
Friends do not have all the answers, but to be there as a serene presence to help, mend
At times, I am this way, not always sure how to be, undemanding…
Lean back so I can see your ideals and thoughts more clearly
Taking a “time out” for you to see the truth from within
Being a friend from a distance, I am praying quietly
I am sorry if I have hurt or upset you, I am trying to accept all you say with a grin
Not always easy to accept your ways and words…
When I know that space between your ears…
Holds more to what the eye sees if the real “you” would have courage
To accept what is “NOW”, let go of ‘95”; submissive to those past fears
Move forward to the present; let it grow…
Your age has nothing to bear; this is only a mere fact…
Fifty-six, twenty-six; go and live and let your life flow
Let loose your inner self, your given skills are a proven knack
You are a smooth, suave and sensitive gent
So use all of that, your intellect to get a life to vent
Beyond “95”, live for time of this present, more then just paying bills and the rent
Give all of your energy and essence now; hold your dreams dear…
You can do this, unfold, let go, if you just try…
I pray so for you, it ok to lean on me, if you should need to cry
You do have much in life in many ways…
Count those blessings, for they may not always be near
Do what you must, I wish you happiness in God’s lighted rays
Just my way, as a friend to explain my distance…
Nevertheless, you are still my friend. I just needed a heartfelt way of guiding acceptance
