Can't fathom life's dealings
Feelings forbidon
Feelings remain hidden

You have your man
So my heart I must ban
You love him and not I
That part of me must die

I don't want to cause strife
I feel though I need out of your life
Yet you need me to stay
To keep your demons away

Through the nights I will fight
To keep your days bright
I shall never tire
Because my love will fuel the fire... [comments] => 5 [counter] => 345 [topic] => 43 [informant] => poetichybrid [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 3 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

I've been their mate (still kind of am). One of my posts - "The Upside Down World" - is about this girl I met and fell for straight away... She really understood me and also related - which has been incredibly difficult for me to find. I couldn't help thinking that I'd finally found the one, you know?
Quite soon I found out that she had a boy she really loved.. Now, it's weird for me - she wants to chat and be mates, I'm a little confused..
Nice write and I like the rhyming pattern - it suits the poem. Very good write!

- Tim

It's a horrible place to be in, the lonley domain of unrequited love.I think most guys have been there at some point, where all you want is for her to be happy but, deep inside, you know that's with you and not him. Problem is, she doesn't. It takes all your will not to ruin the friendship you've got by trying to force things and somehow manage to make it through the pain each day.

Well done

It was once said to me that, this is like looking in a sweet/candy shop and not being able to have what was inside. You have to let go.
