The mirror cracked and Miss Marple found,
A clue to help this cause,
For the vision that you so readily see,
Is in fact not really yours,

Its how you see yourself and why,
You taunt your very heart,
Look again and you will see,
Inside is where you start,

We never find a good thing ,
About ourselves sometimes,
But really beauty lies within us,
And shines out all the time,

When we have been told,
That we are worthless and the pits,
We look in to the mirror,
And see a face that fits,

So when we feel happy,
No mirror do we need,
For our beauty makes us happy,
And we should follow its lead,

So crack the mirror and throw it away,
For you know that you are you,
A beautiful person in your own right,
Believe me because its true [comments] => 7 [counter] => 277 [topic] => 69 [informant] => jerseysue [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 9 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => poets )

What an awesome write.

This is why I truly like this site. There is always someone out there that will give you the encouragement that needed when we are feeling down. You always seem to know just the right thing to say to make another person feel better about him or her self. You are truly a magnificent person.

It's easy to accept the views of others when they tell you you don't fit. The little voice inside grows quieter till all you hear are the words of those others.

You're right though. We all have the ability to shine from the inside if we wish to. After all, I don't think it's always a bad thing to be a square peg in a round hole. It's individuality that makes life interesting

A job well done
:D

Inside is where where we start
But also a place
Of too much
Around and around
Whats within let out
When hearing that sound
Take flight
Whats within is always in
Let the world
Bare its bold....
