Array ( [sid] => 126854 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => A love I cannot explain [time] => 2006-10-13 00:01:49 [hometext] => This is the poem I used to ask my girlfriend to our Junior homecoming. I love you Phoebe! [bodytext] => A love I cannot explain
That is what it is
A love that is not plain
I am sure of this

It seems our fate is chosen
It was from the very start
How could I not love a girl with your taste?
All filled with love and art

You want to know why I love you?
Why I give my love and time?
You truly want a reason?
Why I wheep when you cry?

You can take away my rage
When times are rough and down
You can make me be a different person
And turn a smile from a frown

You can induce something upon me
Something I cannot explain
Something so great in ecstasy
It erases all the pain

We have overlasted and overcome
Any controversy in our way
We have destroyed all the bad
That no relationship would last with anyday

I could have given you flowers
I could have sung another chime
I could have given you my money
But instead you wanted my love and time

Your eyes put upon me
A spell of no return
O' for the savor of your lips
That is what I yearn

Your radiant beauty fills an open room
Blinding, saintly, ethereal, amazing, divine
Like that of the brightest lights
A truly holy design

So I ask of you
Just one question if you be
If I were to promise you my love
Will you go to homecoming with me? [comments] => 1 [counter] => 299 [topic] => 2 [informant] => Jere [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )

I sung a girl a song once and she
dumped me. At first I was hurt
because I lost her than I was
really hurt 'cause I thought
maybe it was just that my
song sucked. haha This poem
quite good. After all it did get her
to say yes. Take care , Doug
