Array ( [sid] => 126834 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Release The Butterfly [time] => 2006-10-12 14:05:42 [hometext] => Recently my doctor told me I really need to de-stress myself.I guess I didn't realise how bad I was !!.Sometimes it takes someone else to point out the obvious [bodytext] => The spring, tightening, wraps around calmness of thought
How did the way ahead become so misty and blurred ?
Running on the wheel that has no end, no direction
Chasing time but strangely no time to chase the dream

I have forgotten how to walk the path of simplicity
Confused my mind in the thorns where once the roses grew
Tired and tarnished, fear torments the tranquil
Pressures of the day raise the pressure of the blood

Whose is this face that looks so stale, could it be mine ?
The lines grow deeper, furrow form, make me barely recognise
Call off the search, I'm not missing, here in different guise
But strayed too far in another world, destructive and dark

Time the master should be tamed to time the slave
Rules to be rewritten, new game to be played
Now the ashes are cooling, the phoenix will soar
No longer prisoned in chrysalis, release the butterfly [comments] => 7 [counter] => 333 [topic] => 48 [informant] => puppy_dog_eyes [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 25 [ratings] => 5 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

Every line was enjoyable.
Well written and a good
reminder to slow down
and relax. Take care and
take it easy. Truly , Doug

Stress is always a big factor in lives, for some the littlest thing can cause stress and others can take so much until they collapse cause the weight gets too much. And yes, its always up to someone else to point out the facts to you before we realise we're so stressed.

You go and get some time for yerself, you deserve it...be selfish for a change..ok..

Huggsss

Its strange how we use the butterfly as a sense of freedom, I have done this myself in one of my writes. Yes stress can bring us down, but what brings us down sometimes, can also make us stronger. You captured my attention , with the visionary lines. Good write. I enjoyed it very much.

Once again a great piece. Did you know stress is one of the silent killers? One of my main reasons to help de-stress people in my new career is that it is a sad reason to have to parish. Look for joy...and joy will be found.Learn to laugh..make others laugh. The feeling is euphoric. You do well to write where you once were....now make me laugh too!...lol
