I stood before you …

I stood before you
threadbare and trembling
anticipating your touch
feeling your heat
rise up to greet me ...

Feeling your heat
long before I lowered myself
into your velveteen depths

Your scent alone
was enough to intoxicate me
embolden me,
encourage me,
to slowly,
ever so slowly slide ...

Slide myself inside of you
asking,
pleading,
begging you
to take all of me

Oh, and the feel of you …

The feel of you
all around me
touching me,
caressing me,
enveloping
every square inch of my body

I began to perspire
as every pore upon my flesh
opened itself
unto your administrations

Wet hair clung to the sides of my face
resisting repeated attempts
to brush it aside

My skin began to peel away
as I floated freely
inside of you …

Then for a moment,
for the briefest moment
I felt …
almost
as though we were one

I had been away far too long
and I swore,
I swore
not to keep you
waiting near as long
for my return

I rinsed and toweled off
draining you
stepping slowly away
before turning out
the bathroom lights

… … … … …

Sometimes a bath
it just ...

it just feels …

So right !!!

I love this poem. I think it is funny how it ends up just being a bath.

Naz,

Very clever and deliberate deception, in a positive sense. The influence of innuendo is very effictively demonstrated in this poem. Actually why does it have to be one or the other: why not both....? :)

I'll bet you had fun writing this, my friend.

Will/Terry
