Array ( [sid] => 12681 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => My Hidden Place [time] => 2003-02-15 17:20:00 [hometext] => I would like to share a special moment with anyone who is willing to read this. (For those of you who dont know: Robin Hood is a legendary 13th century outlaw who lived in Sherwood Forest in England). [bodytext] => Sitting in a cleft within the heart of the woods.
It's a different world.
Is this my new found favourite place?
A secret place solely for me?
The only sounds are that of the birds singing,
Distant gun shots and the mechanics of thought process grinding.
I'm enclosed by trees,
Infront, the frozen lake wants to swollow me up.
The sky is crystal clear blue.
The only sign of man is a far-away plane leaving behind its self made cloud.
I feel so at ease.
The trees have hidden this place for many a year.
I wonder with whom thay have shared this with previously?
Maybe Robin Hood Hid out here?
Perhaps they witnessed the origins of English folk music?
I will never know.
One day this might all be concrete,
but for now it's my secret wonderous place.
What could be better than this moment?
To share it with someone perhaps? [comments] => 4 [counter] => 203 [topic] => 35 [informant] => ed [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SpecialOccassion )

Ed, So many secret places of my childhood are all gone. The "Red and Yellow Noses" beach caves, the sand dunes and the foreshore now all covered in concrete, The Gorse hills now all covered with houses, Bidston marshes now all covered with motorway. Ah for those happy days in the thirties when we could roam

Thanks for sharing (as they say) brought it all back
