Blood fresh from your veins,
Drawn willingly by your hand;
Scrawled in history with a knife.

Young men stand upon the stars,
Preparing to jump and fly away.
The ground beckons their willing souls
To an untimely yet familiar demise.

Once upon a time, not too long past,
You were an angel, my little angel.
Now you have fallen from grace;
A terrible fate awaits foolish haste.

Tick, tick, tock drones the ailing clock;
Creak and crack sing the floorboards.
Lying out in the rain so tears wash away,
Different people step back from the grave. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 290 [topic] => 39 [informant] => Buggsy [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Grief )
