Crackling though the rain
Trees begin to slowly sway
The wind washes them away

Watch the stars play hide and seek
Behind the purple skies
But rain falls even harder
When it comes from Jesus's eyes

Why can't the sun be brighter?
So it can stop the rain
You sit and question life now
But Jesus never complained

Find yourself counting pennies
Complaining about your loss
Did the King without a crown
Cry, tangled on his cross

You can't buy forgivess
With the dollars that you spend
It's not so easy questoning life
In a world that's bound to end

Why can't the sun be brighter?
So it can stop the rain
You sit and question life now
But Jesus never complained

Who are we to pull strings?
When are shoes are still untied
Stones thrown while you walk now
Knowing your about to die
And everybody watches
As you bleed amongst the ground
You wouldn't last a second
With a head of nails for your crown

Left out in the storm
Much like Jesus on his cross
No one around to help me
Hope was finally lost

The voice of God thundered
"The choice is up to you"
I prayed amongst a covered tree
Forgive us for what we do

Why can't the sun be brighter?
So it can stop the rain
You sit and question life now

Really thought the lyrics were wonderful. I hope to hear this song on the radio one day.
“You sit and question life now
But Jesus never complained”
Those words have such great meaning.
May peace and joy fill your heart and may God give you many blessings.
