He wishes it was another day,
Of when he took his wee boy to play,
On golden sandpits come what may.
As loving kin hold him close,
He wonders what he'll miss the most,
Who made him, and where will he go,
Will his mother's greeting know?
As month by month I see him die,
To talk to him is hard, I try,
My heart's infused with fear laced blood,
And cold denial and coward's mud.
So all youse up there, who you may be?
Please take good care of my daddy,
Give him heaven all things nice,
Please take him off to paradise. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 328 [topic] => 32 [informant] => alasdaircairns [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 17 [ratings] => 4 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SadPoetry )

My heart's infused with fear laced blood,
And cold denial and coward's mud....wonderful tribute to your dad..sad, but beautiful.

Wow, this is really touching.
Almost brought to tears.
Almost.
This is a wonderful poem.
Your feelings are expressed beautifully.
