We confront so many fears
Suicide,drugs are only some
To tragic ends many come

From many diverse families
They severe their closest ties
Leaving us broken, far behind
Scared, adrift we crave a sign

So together but very much alone
We bravely wait by the telephone
Praying,pleading for just one call
And days pass by,our spirits fall

So I'm begging all you long lost teens
Please come home, no nasty scenes
Call a close friend, just let them know
You're ok,doing fine and to say hello.

One I can very much relate to. I write a bit about this kind of thing. In truth, even in my mid 20's I'm still longing for some form of contact instead of the silence.
I've got a poem called "Later'" which I'll post soon - I'd really like you to read it and leave a comment. I'm sure you'd have something to say about it. It's about being a teen (sweet 16).
Thanx for sharing!

- Tim
