You were the one that was supposed to...
Make me a better man through and through...

The one to teach me right and wrong...
Teach me the melody in a song...

How to treat a woman and show my love...
How to believe in the power above...

You were suppose to treat me with love and dignity...
Take my pain away until my plate was empty...

How to be a friend with heart of plenty...
How to be a mentor to all I see...

The thing you were supposed to do is love me well...
And pick me up when in a deep hole I fell...

You were suppose to provide for me...
And with your love keep me carefree...

You were suppose to do all of these things...
And a good person these things would bring...

I can finally tell you, because I am much older now...
That what you did, is make it easy to say how...

You did a great Job! Thank You Mom...
