passin through the forest
with trees all around
they reach from the skies
and dig in the ground
and then you find that one tree
thats just screams "climb me"
your nearing the top
and thinking dont stop
this tree is meant to break free
its branches sprout out
not at all short or stout
you find a sturdy seat
so you can reflect on today
rockin it out to your own beat
the view is amazing and open
its still beautiful
without words being spoken
this is like a dream
like your floating down
a never ending stream
this is the memory that when you're brought down
you think of this treetop
and you're no longer held bound
but instead
set free to wander around

(Oooh, Dashboard Confessional!)
Wow, this is so lovely.
I don't think I've read a poem about trees in an extraordinarily long time.
Loving the whole idea of climbing trees,
I've always loved climbing things. Not so much trees though, more like rocks but.. heh.
Thanks for sharing this.
