where few care to learn
but step out
- offer a hand
to tread on feet
having fun
- for their own sake
to leave the other sore
careless, continuing
and each of the dancers
- that care to learn
find themselves let down
- sore and confused
“was life meant to be like this?”
Well here is one dancer
to sit by the wall
watch the beauty fidget around
but not offer his hand
No more!
No, my toes are sore
- heart, disappointed
Love is like a dance floor
and I am a dancer
worn thin by carelessness
and so I shall dance no more.

I enjoyed this poem very much. The metaphor and description within is very good!

I would also like to add that some people do wish to learn to dance but may not know how. Don't give up on them all.

what a truly wonderful poem..but how sad to feel this way...giving up is giving in , please never do..you have much to offer. This part of ur poem stands out to me as truly great

"and each of the dancers
- that care to learn
find themselves let down
- sore and confused"
