This lugubrious heart's lament
That the heart in my chest would stop beating
So I could end my daily torment

If that wish cannot be granted
I seek another in its place
That the whole world may be enchanted
So as to not know my face

It would be easier then, I'm sure
For me to disappear
So I would no longer endure
A life of pitiful fear

Then everyone would stop starting
I'd be a child left to my woe
I'd hear no one's false caring
My emotions I safely could stow

If only I could avoid
The stares of pity and shame
I know that I'd feel less devoid
Of a love that just could not stay

You're my only escape, you know
That's why I come here alone
With others my tears I'll not show
But somehow I can break down, talking to your stone

I should really hate it here
Because it truly isn't right
That the one I love ever so dear
Is beneath the ground, out of sight

Yet in some way it comforts me
To know you can be found
When it's only you I want to see
Your spirit's always around [comments] => 3 [counter] => 266 [topic] => 22 [informant] => Kie-Kie [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 20 [ratings] => 4 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )

Kie.. WOW!!
I am not at all sure where I should begin,
if at all.. lest I fray brilliance* by any hapless rendition..
the composition is painfully beautiful..
but it's the measure* that keeps me~
..an eternal match for the sentiments*.. indeed!

You are extraordinarily talented~

Respectfully and most sincerely, yours..

Billy
