Like a piano with bloodied keys
Notes wavering and uneven
Melody like one of a child
Never taught to play
But continuing on all the same

Does not matter how much they read
It's distorted all the same
Consumed by anger and fear
Listen inside its all you shall hear

If they could play what's in their mind
So disturbing a melody you would find
Make you cry, weep and sigh
There is nothing to be done
This child here is a lost one

I thought this poem was great - I just pictured a young, angry child sitting at a piano, almost forcefully playing it - not through talent, just through sheer frustration.

10/10 :o)

very visual and sad. It's very heart wrenching to read
and ocean deep. Keep up the excellent work

If they could play what's in their mind
So disturbing a melody you would find
Make you cry, weep and sigh

Very gripping..

Holy geez wow, this is one of the best I've read on this site, honest.

It's so short but it tells a lot, and like I like how you left a little to the imagination.

I love:
If they could play what's in their mind
So disturbing a melody you would find

and
There is nothing to be done
This child here is a lost one

cool.

I've got to tell you, this seems like it would fit perfectly with the song A Scale, A Mirror and those Indifferent Clocks by Conor Oberst.
[[ Bright Eyes ]] It's sort of like a distorted, awkward, sad feel, look up the song and see what I mean.

Again, good job in gripping that feel!
