Array ( [sid] => 12593 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Tears [time] => 2003-02-14 09:00:00 [hometext] => I read a poem "Tears" in the YPDC group writes and wanted to write a poem about it so i'd like to say thanks to Lowman613, OreO, Jenni Kalicharan, Cynthia, Ladyfawn, Wordsy, Savannah and InfamousG for the inspiration. [bodytext] => I find the tears flow too freely from me
I turn my head as I don’t want you to see
The anguish that comes from my tortured soul
No amount of weeping will make me feel whole.
And though I try to keep the tears inside
I find there is no place to hide.
Freely they flow from deep within
My inner pain made fresh again.
My face made wet as if from virgin snow
These tears have no other place to go.
I feel my eyes have let me down
I frown these tears away, I want to come around.
If you see me cry you might think I care
And I couldn’t bear you to stop and stare
To see me this way in such pain
Just pretend I'm standing in the rain.
