his steadfst soul, fastened fiercly onto life.

Sweetest heart ..

I found the title unusual and unique (are we using this
word in the traditional meaning, or the informal?)

I was going to point out that I loved the second stanza,
but then I realized I loved the third one as well, and since
then have decided the whole gosh darn write is what I loved! lol

This eunuch sounds enchanting, actually, though I find that
odd enough. It's words like, "keeping vigil", "pleasance",
"steadfast soul" and the best, "fortress of constancy".
GOD! I love that!! And, sweets, that last sentiment about
being fastened fiercly onto life .. whoa! that is PASSION!!

Outstanding work here. Truly. And, yeah, thanks babe,
for continuing to make me look words up .. my extended
vocabulary thanks you! lol

ever and always~

nice write bro...

i was intrigued by the title, and like your use of the word...i (i hope i'm correct in assuming it is used to mean "a guard", and not so much a reference to his lack of, uh...manhood..lol)

either way, i enjoyed this a lot...i've come to realize you are a master of the adjective!.. nicely done!

lol...uh, a sidebar for you bro:

"eunuch" ..the word, as it is, is meant to convey, guardianship - ..and perhaps, for those who know me best, .. might also, consider the latter - metaphorically speaking, of course..
though, still not a flattering bit.. by any means..lol
(but yes, I am still anatomically correct!!)

[no strings please - lol]

Good to see you onsite again!~

This is a winner of a poem, indeed! The wording is really superb, very polished. The theme is strong, and its voice follows through to the end. I think the overall power of the verses builds up toward the end, particularly in the latter two stanzas. All in all, it's an inspiring piece, and evokes a truly poetic mood.

Well done, well done.
