Can no one see it or hear?
The luminous waves are coming soon,
So overwhelming that I can not bear.

As it approaches I can see flames,
They are building stronger,
Maybe god is just playing games,
Until we are no longer.

A simple solitude,
We try to hide ourselves from danger,
From anything that is lewd,
But in itself we become a stranger.

Those crashing waves rumble loudly,
We pretend that they are not there.
We tell ourselves we are not cowardly,
But we show our fear.

I can see the sky so vivid,
But I can no longer stand,
Life no longer seems lucid,
Death becomes quicksand.

As I prepare for my departure,
I slowly feel renewed strength
Like a small rapture,
At the end’s length.

Somehow I am alive,
But I am still weak,
Although I have survived,
I know my spirit is meek.

I can sense another wave
This time it has grown,
I can see my early grave,
My soul is all alone.

Is this the end for me?
Do I sit here in dismayed?
Nothing left to see,
As my soul slowly fade?

Or do I rise?
Learning from my fall,
And reach toward the skies,
Above the coming squall. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 340 [topic] => 43 [informant] => lord_sogi [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

Great write telling of the constant struggle to survive the pains and stress that come. It's the spirit within that conquers - you've written that truth so well.
