remember the signs
of blue face and switching
from life to flat-lines

carry me home to the paint that's still wet
and hugs that don't grip but slip and regret
i can't see her face cause it hasn't stopped raining
i feel my heart slow as our tears are done trading

lick wounds til i'm fed
but never quite full
i'm hungry she said
my flesh she will pull

drag me back to my basement of gray
shed my skin loveless you know that i'll stay
the paintings are mine and they sell to the tired
souls who can't sing and minds not admired

feed me your seeds
i squawk from a cage
i'm full of no needs
but I drink to fuel rage

break my wings...
...my love.

though too pathetic at some phrases, this poem contains non-trivial images and descriptions. made me shiver. thanks.

This was amazing... Well worded and put together... I like the verse that starts:
Lick wounds til i'm fed.... all together an amazing poem...

Take care
