taking what we don't need
born in the land of the free
we take more then we need
we take it for granted
we're all to blame
everyone wants it all
with no sacrifice
we're hopelessly blisful and blind
that's all that we are
we're all to blame
we all want it all
everyone
wants it all
with no
sacrifice
selling lies
alibis
selling hate that we breath
hate that we don't need
looking at our trageties
realizing that we're all to blame
born in the land of the free
we've gone too far
we're dieing in vein
everyone wants it all with no sacrifice
how do we still succeed?
selling hate that we breath
selling our lies
realizing we live in a country of fear
how do we compare?
look at our trageties
living in vein
and now we're all to blame
we've gone too far
we tried to change
we all want it all
when all we need
is something true
we've gone too far
we cry in shame
we tried to change
we're dieing in vein
how can we compare?
we just can't resist
we want it all

what have we done?
we don't know
look what we've caused
we're all to blame
when will we fall?
we're all to blame
hopelessly blisful and blind
selling our hate that we breath
all we need is
something true
to believe [comments] => 3 [counter] => 233 [topic] => 6 [informant] => The_Unknown [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => AngryPoetry )

I think that just about everyday. We wont be able to continue with our success the way we are living and the way we treat the others in the world. Nice work.

It's not just the US, here in the UK and the entire West is pretty guilty of the same thing. we just want to consume then die-never mind the consequences. Interesting write.
