Be honest if you want too,
But please do not be curt,
For sometimes it can be damaging,
And can cause feelings to be hurt,

I for one will not be swayed,
By rants and raves by fools,
For they believe that contradiction,
Is a way to break the rules,

No excuse for them , I give them none,
For they are not worthy of my time,
Does their lack of confidence send them,
From the ridiculous to the sublime,

Selfishness is an awful trait,
Just to be the one and only,
If only these people realised,
It is them that will be lonely,

Don't hurt someone , just because you can,
Because it makes you look so brave,

wow I really like the flow and the honesty in this poem.. I can relate to this with alot of people that have been in my life and it sums up the feelings i got from them wow I enjoyed this one alot.. thanks for sharing and an awesome truthful write

Really like this poem.
Fits in well with what I'm goin thru right now

I think everyone hurts someone else's feelings at one time or other.
Perhaps we all need to think a little more before we speak.It is far easier to be silent than try and take words back

I remember one time someone was trying to put me down and I told them " If it makes you feel like a better person to put me down then you go right on ahead" The look on their face was priceless because they realized how foolish and childish they were behaving. Maybe you should try it. Nice job and a really good write.
