Right and wrong were black and white.
The grey area keeps growing
Who decides for the mass any more?
When did we all begin to except this brutal reality?
Progress seems to be regression.
Has anything changed?
Will it ever?
Should it?
Kill to save, destroy for freedom,
What are we buying into?
Are we, or is it force feed?
Remember when pollution was sad?
Those damn pitiful Native American.
Why is our American dream a long distance call?
From every state in the union,
How can we blame our youth for the violence we teach as a Nation?
So little Jimmy went to school to shoot some kids that threatened him,
Why are we in a foreign country killing some threatening kids?
Is there a grey area, or a not so clear difference?

This nation is in a dismal state of social and political regress. You wrote a good poem addressing these issues. Keep up the strong work.

Phish, Excellent points here. Very well written. The constant questioning. I seem to do this on a daily basis. WTF You'd think by now they'd realize war doesn't work. I wish you well, man.
Peace, Laura

things aren't so different over here in the UK... our goverment followed yours into war, and as Laura said, you'd think they'd realise it doesn't work... it's like children playfighting cos they've nothing better to do, the only difference is when a war occurs, the victims don't get back up. excellent post, the rants are often the best,
