I was wrong I know this now

I miss the way you showed me how
You loved me oh so dear

Now I have only your smell
And a heart of broken tears
And still I really can not tell
Why you leave me here

I've forgiven you so many times
I dont care to count
Because all I cared was you were mine
And not about the amount

And yet you leave me here today
When I've only been wrong once
And still I linger for the day
That I feel your touch

Please forgive me I messed up
Like so many do
I allowed me feelings to take one
And I feel I've lost you

I still love you with my every being
And I know you still do too
So dont forget about me
Because you know that I love you.

I've said I'm sorry so many times

this is a really good poem. your words are so easy to read and yet so emotional.

Because you know that I love you.

i can completely relate with these lines this is exactly how i feel at this point in my life with the one I love. A++++ GREAT write!

A beautiful poem about forgiveness. I know we all can relate to your poem. To forgive someone is surely a blessing , to receive forgiveness is also a blessing. I hope that everything turned out ok for you. Your words are so wonderful in this poem.
