no.. she never really learns

opportunity only knocks once, or so they say
while she's in the bathroom readying herself

for her next, big break
Tonight, she thinks, Out Of All The Wrong Turns, One Must Be Right

but a note slipped under the door
with footsteps fading away reading...

"Well it was fun while it lasted. But I've got sh*t to do
Sincerley Yours, Opportunity"

she places the note on a pile
crammed with all the

"What If's"
"Could Have Been's"
and "Right Places but Wrong Time's"

flooded to the brim between
The Lost Loves and "If Only I Did This..."

No Worries, she smiles
I've Got Years, No Rush

I Smoked My Last Cigarette
And The 7-11 Is Just Around The Corner

Who Knows What I'll Find Next

life comes at this girl
it takes a while for her to catch on

no.. she never really learns
